The results of PMR studies on 3'-deoxy-beta-D-ribonucleosides (1a-d) reveals that the sugar puckering is predominantly in N state with g+ conformation of the 5'-CH2OH group. Except in 1a, nucleobases in other nucleosides favour anti conformation.
