dc.description.abstractEr3Rh single crystals were obtained by the Czochralski method from a levitated melt. The electronic structure, lattice parameters, magnetization in strong fields, AC and DC magnetic susceptibility and electrical resistivity were measured along the principal crystallographic directions. A highly anisotropic behavior for the magnetization and lattice parameter was observed. An antiferromagnetic transition at T-N = 26 K was found. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
