Excitation energy dependence of X-ray emission spectra and electronic structure of Eu1-xCaxMnO3

They are compared with LSDA and LDA U band structure calculation of orthorhombic and cubic LaMnO3. Comparison of XPS valence band spectra and O K-alpha and Mn L-3 X-ray emission spectra with band structure calculations shows that the LSDA is more accurate than the LDA U approach as a description of the spectroscopic properties of orthorhombic EuMnO3.
