Zusammenfassung:
Photonic crystals (PhCs) promise to be useful in many optical elements. While the linear optical properties of PhCs have received considerable attention, their tuneable and nonlinear optical response is not nearly as well understood. We present a method that allows the functionalization of individual pores of silicon photonic crystals with tuneable optical organic materials such as polymers, liquid crystals, or low-molecular weight dyes.
