The ward judgement test by patients in a state hospital [DER STATIONSBEURTEILUNGSBOGEN BEI PATIENTEN EINES LANDESKRANKENHAUSES]

Abstract

In a study designed to evaluate modifications of wards, the 'Stationsbeurteilungen' was given to patients of a psychiatric state hospital. Analyses of the test yield restrictions concerning its standard application, deviations from some of the test-statistical values reported in the manual and only low sensitivity to change. Also, the dimensional structure of the test, which is theoretically assumed, could not be proved. The necessity of analyzing the differential applicability of the test in terms of nosology and types of institutional care is stressed.
