In spite of the widespread use since the 1970s sensitization to clotrimazole is seldomly reported. A case of a nurse for the elderly with sensitization to clotrimazole proved by patch test (5 % clotrimazole in white vaseline) is reported. The patient has never been treated with topical antimycotics. Because of the occupational contact to antimycotics an occupational contact sensitization to clotrimazole is sufficiently probable. |
