dc.description.abstractAt room temperature, tris(ethyldimethylphenylammonium) tri-ü-chlorohexachlorodibismuthate(3-), C30H48·Bi2Cl9N3, crystallizes in the monoclinic space group C52h; P21/c, (No. 14); a = 1799.7(3) pm, b= 1307.6(2) pm, c= 1781.9(4)pm, β = 92.72(2)°, Z = 4, Dx= 1.883 g/cm3. The structure consists of ethyldimethylphenylammonium cations and binuclear chlorobismuthate(III) anions formed by two face-sharing BiClf, octahedra. The compound has an irreversible phase transition at 363 K with an enthalpy of 13.35 kJ mol-1 and melts at 478 K. © 1996, by R. Oldenbourg Verlag, München. All rights reserved.
