dc.description.abstractIn the meantime the additional value of a complementary or replacing use of electronic media for teaching purposes in the GIS domain at various educational levels is well accepted. This contribution concentrates on the current and actual significance of E-Learning modules. Based on a market study and a summary of relevant E-Learning courses we develop a criteria catalogue that shall support the respective selection and evaluation. Furthermore, the factors sustainability and marketability of existing products will be discussed.
