Zusammenfassung:
The german regulation of occupational diseases (BKV) summarizes skin cancer or precancerous lesions due to combined action of UV light and co-carcinogens under the "number 5102". The assessment of the loss of earning capacity (MdE) follows commonly accepted recommendations. These consider extrinsic, UV-induced skin changes and disfigurements and the number, anatomical site and extent of cancerous and precancerous lesions as well. The pitch-skin illness, recorded as # 5102 of BKV, is furthermore characterized by a particular UV-induced atrophy, as demonstrated in the following case report. Due to the increased irritability of the skin other, for example, wet work professions may not be recommendable. Therefore, we will discuss if - similar to the assessment of the MdE of eczematous occupational skin disorders (BKV # 5101) - pitch-skin illness-related atrophic skin changes should also be considered when assessing the MdE of # 5102 of BKV.
