Zusammenfassung:
A simplified two-dimensional program can help to quickly attain a first approximation for the degree of stretching during development of parts and test the positioning of the part geometry in thermoform tool. The model must be based on the some assumptions to keep the simulation much simple, these include all geometric calculations are performed using one section through the thermoform tool. The contact location of the film and thermoform tool during thermoforming no longer to move on the thermoform tool, the film should be solid and its movement is described by splines associated with three -points. The thickness of the film must change proportionally for every change in the length of the spline, if the spline touches the thermoform tool, it splits at the point of contact. The spline is tangent to the surface of the thermoform tool, at the point of contact. The new generation of TPO films can withstand extremely high degrees of stretching without tearing.
