Websites, online databases, and sources of information

Abstract

The internet can be a useful source of information for practitioners and experts involved in the field of occupational skin diseases (e.g., dermatologists, occupational physicians, and other healthcare workers). Various information on occupational dermatoses, prevention strategies, campaigns, protective equipment, as well as contact allergens and hazardous substances are provided by different national and international institutions and authors. Several websites, platforms, and databases exist that may be helpful when it comes to the management and prevention of occupational skin diseases and the identification of an appropriate protective equipment (e.g., protective gloves). This chapter shall give an overview of some of these sources of information. © Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2020.
