Zusammenfassung:
Local actors, such as municipal authorities, can promote and shape the settlement of foreign companies in a particular manner. In many instances, actions of economic promotion can lead to several conflicts; firstly between foreign investors and their national representatives, and secondly with (supra)regional industries or business circles. Here, flexible and long-term settlement projects, the permission of migrant infrastructure, and moreover, their high-profile marketing may attract foreign companies and long-term investors. © 2017, Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.
