Zusammenfassung:
The Flipped Classroom (FC) gains more and more popularity for teaching university students. As students in an FC receive digital materials as preparation, teachers are enabled to use the face to face (F2F) time implementing interactive learning methods to improve performance, understanding, engagement, and satisfaction of students. However, not every method appears suitable for implementation in every group size. Instead, the design of interactive F2F time in large groups confronts teachers with special challenges. Although the increasing number of students at universities indicates that there will be more teaching in large groups in the future, there is little systematic research on how to design F2F time in a large FC so far. We close this research gap by conducting a systematic literature review and, based on this, introducing and evaluating a case study of FC implementation in a large economic course. © Proceedings of the 24th Pacific Asia Conference on Information Systems: Information Systems (IS) for the Future, PACIS 2020.
