The relativistic cne-step model of photoemission in its version for several atoms per unit cell is applied to the intermetallic compound GdCu. Here we present normal and off-normal photoelectron spectra from the (110) surface of antiferromagnetic GdCu. The theoretical photoemission investigation is based on muffin-tin potentials calculated self-consistently within the tight-binding LMTO method. Ln order to interpret the various transitions in the calculated spectra, we discuss our photoemission results in terms of the corresponding band structure along the Sigma-direction in the Brillouin zone. Furthermore, we compare our results with experimental data. A reasonable overall agreement between measured and calculated spectra has been found.
