The syntheses, molecular and crystal structures of [((PrSn)-Pr-i)(12)O-14(OH)(6)] [((PrSn)-Pr-i)(4)(MoO4)(4)O(OH)(3)](2) . 6DMSO (1) under bar and [((PrSn)-Pr-i)(12)O-14(OH)(6)] [((PrSn)-Pr-i)(4)(MoO4)(4)O(OH)(3)](2) . 10DMF (2) under bar are described. Both compounds contain the until now unknown [((PrSn)-Pr-i)(4)(MoO4)(4)O(OH)(3)](-) cage ion, the first example of monoorganotin molybdates with isolated anions. It is composed of two groups of two edge sharing {(PrSnO5)-Pr-i} octahedra linked by four mu(3)-{MoO4} tetrahedra. Inside this cage ion a mu(2)-OH ...mu(2)-O hydrogen bond between the two groups of {(PrSnO4)-Pr-i(OH)} double octahedra is observed.
