Zusammenfassung:
An annotated checklist of Rubus species in Austria is given. No real survey about these taxa has existed up till now. Previous authors have reported hundred of ``species'' and infraspecific taxa for this area because of false determination or because of the taxonomic treatment of individual or local biotypes. These arise in this apomictic complex in great numbers but in modern taxonomy they do not merit to be treated. Modern taxonomy takes only stabilized biotypes with a wider distribution into consideration. Besides Rubus caesius, R. idaeus, R. saxatilis and the garden escapes R. phoeniculasius, R. armeniacus (both naturalized), R. odoratus and R. occidentalis (only found close to gardens and not really belonging to the Austrian flora) up till now not more than 43 Rubus species have been found in Austria, 35 belong to R. sect. Rubus and 8 to R. sect. Corylifolii. A list of the species is given together with an enumaration of the Austrian ``Bundeslander'' (provinces of administration) where their occurence have been proved by the authors.
