Magnetic garnet films ha.ve been grown which satisfy the conditions for diffraction of transverse and longitudinal elastic waves by a periodic stripe domain lattice. The elastic waves are excited by the domain lattice resonance and by the domain resonance in the frequency range between 0.5 and 2.5 GHz. For the first time simultaneous generation and diffraction of these waves is observed. The experimental results are in good agreement with calculations.
