Zusammenfassung:
Individual consultations within the framework of the 'Osnabruck Model for Health Prevention in the Hairdressing Trade' ('Osnabrucker Modell zur Gesundheitsforderung im Friseurhandwerk'), which has existed since August 1990, were supplemented by business consultations in autumn 1991, due to low participation. Since then, 359 hairdressers in 54 salons were informed about skin friendly working, adequate measures of skin protection and skin care products. In June and July 1993, an empirical study was performed in the salons to evaluate the efficiency of business consultations. We determined that 78% of those surveyed obtained new knowledge and that more hairdressers seem to care for skin-safe working conditions, for the most part as a consequence of better information. On account of these findings, business consultations - in distinction to individual consultations - can be described as effective within the framework of the Osnabruck Model.
