Gd3Rh and Gd3Ir exhibit several anomalies in the electrical, magnetic and structural properties which may be attributed to spin-fluctuation effects. The XPS valence-band measurements show a hybridization of 5d-rare earth states with the 4d (5d) states of transition metal. The Fermi level is supposed to lie in the region of hybridized states.
