A spatially modulated dark conductivity is present after thermal fixing of holograms since strong compensating electronic and ionic concentration patterns are formed. Modulated dark-diffusion as well as dark-drift currents arise and develop the hologram permanently. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
