Energy exchange optimization in (110)-cut BTO crystal by choice of interacting waves polarization

The relative intensity dependence of a signal wave on the orientation angle between holographic grating vector and crystallographic axis [0 0 1] is experimentally found for the first time for fixed thickness of (1 1 0)-cut BTO crystal in the case of two-wave mixing. Azimuth of polarization of interacting waves corresponding to maximum energy exchange is theoretically found for every value of the orientation angle. Comparison of theoretical and experimental orientation dependencies of gain for two special linear polarizations (in the incidence plane and perpendicularly to this one) and maximum gain is fulfilled as well.
